President’s Message

The civil rights movement was a heroic episode in American history. It endeavored to give African Americans the same citizenship rights afforded to whites. As a pioneering organization for the civil rights movement, the NAACP is just as relevant today as it was in 1909. We must remain steadfast and committed to preserving the rights generations before us fought and even died. Across the board equality and fair treatment for all, African Americans in particular are under siege! The repeal of Section 4 of the Voting Rights Acts of 1965, police brutality and vigilante justice all reflect justice for SOME and NOT ALL. This, my brothers and sisters is our call for action! Let today be the day you re-engage in the fight for civil rights and make OUR voices heard. After all… #BLACKLIVESMATTER

Message from the Branch

Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight social justice for all Americans.

The Southern Burlington County NAACP is dedicated to fighting for civil rights right here in Southern New Jersey. If you feel your civil rights have been compromised or to join the fight against those who would attack the rights for which our ancestors fought, bled and died, then contact us!
